Google’s great new Nexus reveal will take place in San Francisco on Sept. 29, and now an offical memo from the tech giant: Members of the press received an invitation to “a morning conversation about some new treats from Google.” An LG-made Nexus 5, a Nexus 6 from Huawei and maybe even new Chromecasts are on the cards.Set all your alarm clocks sportsfans, it all will go down at 9 a.m. Pacific time; the event will also be live on YouTube if you’re one of the sad people without an invite(me too). We’ll also hear about the official roll-out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, unfortunately it is not really clear when exactly it will be making an appearance on smartphones — the previous year there was a gap of a few weeks between the announcement and the release.
From the previous couple of days we have heard some rumors about what Google’s flagship smartphones for 2015 are going to be called: Start you engines for the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P. We’re not sure what the X and the P stand for, but it will help us separate the handsets from the older devices, life will be much simpler all around which is a blessing from Google.
