How to Change Siri’s Voice and Language in iOS 8 on iPhone and iPad
Siri is can be very useful and effective for Apple users and since her development she’s gone through many updates. FOr users with iOS 8 there are many new features with this virtual assistant including the ability to change Siri’s voice. This new Siri can recognize music, purchase from iTunes, and even solve math equations all without touching your phone.
How to Change Siri Voice and Language in iOS 8
While the defaut voice of Siri is pretty well known, some of us who are not a fan of it have been waiting for the ability to change Siri’s voice and language. Simply follow the steps below and you’ll have all your problems solved.
Step 1. Launch the Settings app on your device.
Step 2. In General Settings, tap on Siri.
Step 3. Tap on Language to change language (and perhaps voice too.)
Step 4. If you want to switch between a male and female voice, you have the Voice Gender option.
Step 5. That’s it! Enjoy interacting with your new virtual assistant.
You can also verbally command Siri to “Change your Voice” but Siri will not automatically change her voice because she will not know the specific preference you would like; what’s helpful though is that you will be taken directly to a button that will take you to general settings. Apple users can now rejoice being able to now control nearly all aspects of their devices.
Finally, you just need to keep in mind that if you set Siri to use a language different to the country you are in, Siri may not be able to access certain features such as local services or will automatically change to a voice to suit the location you are searching.
